Key Stage 1 Curriculum Support

Children are supported from our day nursery upwards if they do not make expected progress. For most children, having the curriculum tailored to their needs by class teachers is sufficient, together with support from teaching assistants.

For a small number of children, additional individual support is required. Children are all screened by the end of Year 3 for dyslexia, and our full-time Learning Support Coordinator works closely with class teachers, parents and outside agencies to ensure that every child’s specific learning needs are met.
