Meet the Prefect Team
Hannah, Head Prefect
I have attended Hull Collegiate School since the age of seven and have just entered my final year here. The A levels I am studying for include English Language, Psychology, and Art. My plan for the future is to study Psychology at university. I am the current captain of the hockey 1st XI and have been involved in all sports including netball, rounders, athletics and the dreaded cross country.
Recently I have joined the Collegiate Chorus. After not participating in a choir since Year 8, it has reminded me just how brilliant the music at the school truly is.
I have been able to participate in so many wonderful experiences, from trekking along the Wolds Way for the Duke of Edinburgh Award to flying across the globe to Sri Lanka on the recent sports tour.
Attending this school has been the best opportunity I could have had as it has built my confidence to achieve so much. The support given to each individual is outstanding and I am so glad that I have not taken it for granted.
Daisy, Deputy Head Prefect
I am currently studying History, Psychology and Theatre Studies at A Level, along with an Extended Project Qualification on different parenting styles affect on childhood education/ learning. This is very helpful for my studies as I wish to study Psychology at University. I love the drama opportunities at the school, you may have seen me in the school production last year as Brittany in The Flint Street Nativity.
I joined Hull Collegiate in Year 9 when I moved to England, after living in America until I was 13. I took to the school amazingly well as all the pupils and teachers were kind and welcoming. I couldn't be happier with the support I have gotten from the teachers at the school throughout the years for it has pushed me to be the best I could be. I am also the current Chair of the School Council and taking part in Team Uganda 2016/17.
These are only a few of the extra-curricular activities I am a part of as there are so many to choose from. I Encourage everyone to get involved in activities as its chance to take part in new things and make new friends.
Libby, Deputy Head Prefect
Ever since joining Hull Collegiate School in Year 3, I have always enjoyed going to school, even earning 100% attendance one year! The school has provided me with a friendly working environment where I have always felt confident enough to push myself and have been encouraged by the teachers to try my hardest. I am currently studying for my A Levels in Maths, Economics and Business aStudies, with the hope of studying Accountancy at University next year.
The opportunities the school offer has enabled me to participate in a wide range of extra-curricular activities that have helped me build a diverse and exciting personal profile. I have recently been on the sports tour to Sri Lanka where I was immersed in an entirely different culture.
Other activities that I have been involved in include the mentoring of lower year pupils pastorally and in maths, charity work throughout the year and taking part in the Base competition. I am currently writing my personal statement and these activities, and the academic opportunities I’ve been given make this task a lot easier.
