Hull Collegiate School is delighted for their Year 13 pupils who have achieved an outstanding set of A level results today. These results have ensured pupils have secured some of the most prestigious universities and courses in the country including Cambridge .

There were many outstanding individual performances in this year’s results, too many to mention here. Anna Kelsall (4A*) who will go onto read Land Economy at Cambridge University said “I am thrilled with my results and very grateful to the teaching staff for all their support.  I am feeling extremely positive about my future .”

Many pupils expressed how happy and relieved they felt about obtaining the grades to secure their first choice of university including Josh Hawkard (3A1B) who looks forward to joining York University to study Biomedical Sciences and Robert Sunley-Saez (1A*3A) to study Engineering at Durham University.

Having achieved 4A, Libby Gould will join Newcastle University to begin a four year degree with Price Waterhouse Copper in Business, Accounting and Finance through the prestigious Flying Start degree programme.

Mrs Rebecca Glover, Headteacher, said: “I am delighted to announce that the A level results this year are exceptional. Many of the pupils at the school have exceeded their target grades and the vast majority of pupils have achieved their first choice of University. Almost 25% of all grades were A*-A and 80% A*- C. The school has achieved a value added of almost half a grade per pupil per subject, which is an outstanding achievement.

“The hard work that the pupils have put into their studies combined with the dedication of the teaching staff has resulted in highly commendable grades. Well done to all our pupils.”
