Year 9 Languages Day

In January Year 9 pupils enjoyed our annual Languages Day. The day aims to promote the rich linguistic diversity of the world and raise awareness of the importance of lifelong language learning for everyone. Pupils took part in activities including Italian, a Euro quiz, a fact-finding treasure hunt and a flag competition.

They also learned about Hebrew from Mr Beardsley, growing up in an international school in Italy from Mrs Bloomfield and Japanese culture from Mrs Smith. Pupils and staff had fun in the language themed photo booth and the whole school enjoyed a Morrocon themed lunch prepared by our catering team.

Thank you to all staff and speakers involved.
