Educational visits are an excellent way of enhancing the curriculum and extended pupils' learning. The school aims to keep the costs of educational visits to a minimum and these trips are purely optional.
The Senior School trips are based around the curriculum, for example trips to Normandy, Italy and Spain, organised by the Modern Foreign Languages department, as well as the Belgian Battlefields tour which is organised by the History department. Theatre visits are organised to align with the texts which are studied at GCSE and A Level.
Sports tours take place regualrly and provide the opportunity for our sportsmen and sportswomen to broaden their playing experiences by competing against teams in other countries. This year the girls will be competing in Holland and the boys in Italy. There is also a regualr ski trip in February half term.
The Geography department have taken pupils on fieldtrips to Iceland and Utah (USA) which have proved exhilarating as well as educational.
Sports trips have included a football trip to Prague and a sports tour (football, hockey, cricket and netball) to Barbados and in 2016 to Sri Lanka which proved to be both thrilling and inspiring.
