BBC School Report March 2018

Last week pupils in year 8 took part in our annual BBC School Report. This year was especially exciting as they travelled to the BBC television studios in Salford and enjoyed a private tour and shown the ropes by Mike Bushell.

Everyone had a thoroughly enjoyable experience which included getting comfy on the sofa and trying out the Mastermind chair.

They all worked incredibly hard under a realistic time pressure of a 4pm deadline. The news bulletin includes: Suffragettes 100 years on, Welcoming Mrs Wilson as new headmistress, Spotting fake news with the presenters of BBC Breakfast, Canine Partners, Annie, a recording studio in Willerby which has been recording for 50 years plus a sports roundup including an interview with Mr Henderson on their recent successes.
