Christmas charity project delivered by young people, to support young people.

The Cookie Elf Project is a charity set up last year where children bake cookies and deliver them dressed as elves in return for a gift for a child at Christmas. They then attend an Elves Christmas Party where all the presents are collected and delivered to children's charities in Hull.

Students at Hull Collegiate School gave up their break time to bake, decorate and wrap a large number of cookies. They sold out in the prep school before even getting to the senior students so they baked another batch and sold out within minutes the next day.

The Cookie Elf Team managed to raise £146 in total and delivered over 30 gifts to the following charities;

  • Purple house woman's centre
  • KIDZ
  • Hull children's University
  • CARE(Christian action resource enterprise)

The charity received over 600 presents from local sponsors and organisations for less-fortunate local children this Christmas.

Thank you to staff member Colette Mason for organising this fun, interactive project which embraces team work and the true spirit of Christmas for children and young people.
