Former Olympian Richard Buck visits Hull Collegiate School
Former Olympian Richard Buck spent the day at school on 28 February.
Richard led two assemblies where he talked about his achievements and how sport gave him something to focus on.
He learnt he was very good at sport and by putting the effort in he improved. Richard's message to the pupils was very inspiring. He explained through sport he learnt he had the power to control his destiny. It has given him confidence and focus. In addition to this Richard has made some fabulous friends, he has travelled the world and has had a lot of fun!
Richard ran a series of sports workshops for pupils in years 5 - 8. This was a wonderful opportunity for our pupils to meet and work with a professional sports athlete and learn new training skills. This was a massive motivation for all our pupils.
