Hull Collegiate School is only the second prep school in East Yorkshire to win the highly sought-after membership.
Celebrations are underway at Hull Collegiate Prep School, which has just been accepted for highly sought-after membership of the Independent Association of Prep Schools (IAPS).
As only the second prep school in the whole of East Yorkshire to become a member of IAPS, a body of world-leading schools, this is a much welcomed sign of recognition.
The IAPS counts the top performing and most prestigious prep schools among its number and is rigorous in its acceptance criteria. Schools must demonstrate that they deliver a broad, well-rounded curriculum with excellent standards of pastoral care, and maintain a full programme of professional development training for staff and teachers.
It is therefore a significant victory for Hull Collegiate Prep School and a signal of its popularity with parents, innovative and ambitious practices and high standards of care and support.
As part of the elite professional network with prep schools across the world, Hull Collegiate will benefit from access to specialist advisors, the latest research and professional development. This is in addition to the support it already enjoys as part of United Learning, a national group of academies and independent schools.
Mrs Antje Kell, Head of Hull Collegiate Prep School, said:
“I am very proud of the hard work of our inspiring pupils and talented staff. We are committed to delivering the education we believe that every child deserves. We offer a breadth of curriculum that is second-to-none, in which children respond, flourish and build transferrable confidence. Our pupils thrive in small classes in which they are well-known and catered for as individuals, by passionate and knowledgeable subject-specialist teachers.
“I am thrilled for the whole school community that we have been recognised as a world-leading school by IAPS. The school has had a school improvement drive for the past two years and the results are evident; but the hard work does not end here! We are committed to continuous improvement and innovation so that our educational offer evolves with the best research and practice.”
