Hull Collegiate School have won the regional finals of the Junior UKMT Team Challenge
The Team Maths Challenge is a competition which gives pupils the opportunity to tackle a variety of engaging mathematical activities while developing team work and communication skills.
On Tuesday 24 April, four pupils from year 8 and 9 took part in the regional finals of the Junior UKMT Team Challenge. Tom C, Sheema, Tom L and Josh represented Hull Collegiate School at Winifred Holtby where they competed against 15 other schools from the region.
After completing four challenging rounds and a nail biting wait whilst the scores where added up, Hull Collegiate School was named the regional winner. We are now through to the national finals which will take place in London on the 18 June.
Head of Maths, Miss Jo Dyer said: "This is a great achievement for the pupils. They have worked extremley hard and deserve this recognition. We're looking forward to the finals in June".
Headmistress, Mrs Alex Wilson said: "I am very proud of Tom, Sheema, Tom and Josh. This is reflection of their knowledge, hard work, confidence and communication. Good luck for the finals".
