Pre-Sixth Emily embraces the challenge of the Head Start to A-Level program with passion in English.

Pre-Sixth pupils who had their GCSEs curtailed this year have really embraced the challenge of the Head Start to A-Level program with passion.  Here, Emily is one of many who have hit the ground running with analysis, evaluating TV adaptations creating a sense of ‘oppression’ in The Handmaid’s Tale and comparing themes such as “What it Means to be Human” across Nineteenth and Twentieth Century texts simultaneously, analysing ideas about human desire for companionship and communication (very relevant in our current circumstances) with mature discernment and nuanced written expression!
