Year 9 Arts Enrichment Day - January 2018

On 10 January we were delighted to welcome pupils from Cottingham High School, Newland School for Girls and Beverley High School to join with our Year 9 pupils for an Arts Enrichment Day.

The day itself involved four workshops in Art, Drama, Media and Music, along with a presentation by an internationally recognised actor.

Our guest presenters were:

Adrian Rawlins - an English actor who is probably best known for playing James Potter (Harry Potter’s father) in the Harry Potter films. Adrian spoke to pupils about his work and answered their questions

In addition, pupils benefited from a Media tutorial, where they were shown film editing. They also took part in a Music workshop where they learned the power of words and music together, and performed their own compositions.

Thank you to Head of Drama Andrea Asbury and Head of Art Department Elise Wallis for organising this highly successful day. Thank you Andrew Norburn and James Webb for running the music workshop and Mark Birch who ran the media workshop.
